The jewel piece in the middle of my shoulders and the two armbands all were chosen out of the same book ofart nouveau jewelry designs. The armband detail photo was actually made by laying across a flatbed scanner at a friend's house.
The designs were meant for bracelets and needed to be repeated to fit around my upper arms. Since arms aren't perfect tubes, the patterns didn't repeat exactly, and so they were joined based on how close they came together. For the left arm, a large, diamond-like stone bridged the gap.
