Just two days before I had gotten my new cracked shoulder tattoo and again I was back in the tattooist's chair for another piece. The travelling artists, Josh and Tanya, were coming back through town again and I wanted to get a companion piece from Josh to complement the one that I had from Tanya. I asked him to do the design in reverse, white on black, and to top the character 'Om' with a cluster of smoky crystals. I was still exhausted from my previous sitting and that made it even more tiring, but it was worth it.
I have tattooing from Josh's partner Tanya: the ankh & crystal arrangement on my right shoulder blade. Tanya also added a bit to this piece on one last visit to Santa Cruz.
