The Rio Hotel and Casino

The Schwarzes took a few days respite together over the 2002 holiday season in Las Vegas. Much food, sleep/not-sleep and spa treatments were had by all. Cirque Du Soleil's show "O" was stunning. The never ending 80s music was maddeningly hum-able and both my sister and I got many songs stuck in our heads numerous times. I found Las Vegas to be simultaneously fascinating and scary. I would consider going back either for a tattoo convention or to catch the Penn & Teller show. Is that ad line "me" or what?

Shown here is my self-portrait with the view from the window of my room at the Rio. This is the view not looking towards the Strip, but more towards the rest of Las Vegas. As you can see, sprawl is the name of the game in this town.
