Charles Gatewood took pictures of all my tattoos and my brand when I saw him during the Ancient Ways Festival in early June. The brands had their six month birthday during that time. As you can see they have retained a lot of their color, but aren't that raised at all. In fact, some spots you can see are concave slightly. The lines have spread considerably compared to when they were first struck and there are some places where they have touched or even merged somewhat. The really deeply burnt spots are still changing in texture and form at this time. Part of the rich color comes from repeated soakings in the hot tubs at Harbin, where the Festival was located. It got darker from being in the warm water and the texture would be intensified for a while after I soaked too.
